Nursing

How Does an RN Help?

The Register Nurse (RN) reviews the person's health as part of a collaborative process, evaluates options and services to meet the person's health needs, and uses available resources to promote quality health outcomes and cost-effective care.

The RN performs a comprehensive nursing assessment of the person identifying his or her health, medical appointments, and nursing needs.   The evaluation with assist the person and the team in understanding the health needs of the person.  The review will help make recommendations to the person and their team for obtaining services in the community.  He/she will develop health care plans and protocols, as needed, to provide health services that include Activities of Daily Living (ADL) performance, emergency intervention, and other health concerns.
